Music: Sharks’ Teeth – When You Know You’re Loved
The Monkeys has unveiled its latest work, a campaign for Telstra that showcases the magic that is possible when you combine technology with the capabilities of Australia’s fastest mobile network.
The 60-sec commercial follows emerging Triple J Unearthed artist Thelma Plum as she heads out on a walk to the shops. This turns into much more of an enchanting experience as she harnesses the power of the Telstra network through her phone.
Directed by Joel Kefali of Goodoil Films, it features a fresh rendition of Flight Facilities’ track Clair de Lune by Thelma herself; the song has been released to coincide with the launch of the campaign.
LG Australia has announced the launch of ‘The Darkest Light’, a film that celebrates the consumer electronics’ revolutionary new OLED TV 4K-technology screens.
Launched to industry and media on the sleek, ultra-slim LG OLED TVs, the brief given to agency Background CC was to create a film to demonstrate the richness of the colours and the intensity of the true blacks, normally reserved for the cinema experience.
Directed by Sixty40’s Tim Kindler, ‘The Darkest Light’ tells the story of a girl looking back over the moments of her broken relationship, contemplating the significance of the small details that led to its demise.
How Finland’s Epic Equivalent of Saving Private Ryan Flipped the Branded Content Script.
The film relied on brand partnerships and became a national hit. In the case of Finland’s The Unknown Soldier, the filmmakers worked with Helsinki-based Hasan & Partners to develop a new way to work with brands, which helped augment additional, more traditional funding and grants. Where this was most useful was both in the creation of the film and its marketing, with well-known Finnish brands doing most of the heavy lifting. Instead of producers or studios footing the full bill, it was the brands that helped market the movie throughout the filmmaking process.
Ollie was 8 months old when we traveled to Hawaii. Exactly 1 year later, we sat him down and “interviewed” him about his trip. By this time, I assume his memories had already faded to a dream like state, so I wrote a script that reflected that.
