THE RENOVO COUPE
What looks like a Shelby Daytona Coupé, goes like a 911 Turbo S and uses no fuel? The Renovo Coupe. It’s a car bred in Silicon Valley and it’s the first all-electric supercar from the US.
Renovo is the ‘relatively’ new motor kid on the Silicon Valley block but they have taken an iconic American sports coupe design, the Shelby Cobra Daytona CSX9000 and fixed up the old tech by electrifying it.
The company was established in 2010 and has kept the Supercar in stealth mode for the past 4 years. Just as Tesla’s initial offering, the Tesla Roadster, used a genuine Lotus chassis, the Renovo Coupe uses a genuine factory modified Shelby American CSX9000 rolling chassis.
“This shape was nearly perfect 50 years ago, and physics doesn’t change much over time,” said Mr. Peter Brock referring to the aerodynamics of the original 1964 Le Mans winning car.
